Complex Health Care Assistant (Female only) – Worthing

We are currently looking to appoint an additional Health Care Assistant to join our team providing complex care services to a client in Worthing. The client is a young adult with complex needs who requires monitoring and assistance at night.
This is an excellent opportunity for a HCA either with intensive care, high dependency or complex care experience, or experience gained in a similar setting such as elderly, community based settings looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to learn new skills!
- The safe administration of medication
- Support client with Tracheostomy needs.
- Providing assistance and support with a variety of personal care including; eating, drinking, washing and dressing
- Ensuring equipment is kept in good condition and that care records are accurately maintained
- Be able to communicate effectively with family members and other stakeholders involved in the care of the client such as other healthcare professionals as required
- Ensure quality person-centred care is delivered to the highest possible standard
- An ability to be flexible and work across a variety of day and night shifts. Example shifts include:
- 0800-2000
- 2000-0800
Supporting clients with complex needs can be challenging and requires patience, empathy, the ability to be confident yet calm and have excellent observation and attention to detail skills. Those wishing to apply must also be reliable, committed to quality and have or be willing to work towards a NVQ level 2 qualification in health and social care.
