HealthCare Assistant – East Sussex

We are currently looking to appoint additional Health Care Assistant’s to join our team providing care services to a client’s in East Sussex for example Peacehaven, Lindfield, and Bexhill. The client’s range between young Children and adults with care needs who require monitoring and assistance in the day and night.
This is an excellent opportunity for a HCA who gained experience in settings such as elderly care, community-based settings looking to expand their knowledge and the chance to learn new skills!
- The safe administration of medication
- Support client with PEG needs.
- Support client with Tracheostomy needs.
- Support client with Ventilation needs.
- Providing assistance and support with a variety of personal care including; eating, drinking, washing and dressing
- Ensuring equipment is kept in good condition and that care records are accurately maintained.
- Be able to communicate effectively with family members and other stakeholders involved in the care of the client such as other healthcare professionals as required.
- Ensure quality person-centred care is delivered to the highest possible standard.
- An ability to be flexible and work across a variety of day and night shifts. Example shifts include:
- 1900-0700
- 0700-1900
- 0800-2000
- 2000-0800
Supporting clients with care needs can be challenging and requires patience, empathy, the ability to be confident yet calm and have excellent observation and attention to detail skills. Those wishing to apply must also be reliable, committed to quality and have or be willing to work towards a NVQ level 2 qualification in health and social care.
