Respite Care / Take a break

Ideal Complex Care provides compassionate and reliable respite care services
for individuals who require short or long-term relief from their
caregiving responsibilities for their loved ones.

We understand that sometimes everyone needs a break. This benefits both you and your family.

It’s good to take a respite break to preserve relationships. For many families, becoming a carer for a parent or spouse can change the dynamics of the relationship. The person providing the care in the relationship may feel tired, but guilty for feeling tired and not having the energy to be how they want to be, and the person receiving the care may feel they are a burden due to how tired you seem to be. It’s therefore important that everyone gets to take a regular break.

During this break, an ICC Care Assistant can cover all caring responsibilities during the respite period, which can be arranged as a regular scheduled break or on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability.

Our respite care services are designed to provide temporary and long-term relief to primary caregivers. We offer a range of respite care options, including:

  • In-home respite care: Our caregivers can provide care in the comfort of your own home, allowing you to take a break from your caregiving responsibilities.
  • Out-of-home respite care: We can arrange for your loved one to stay in a care facility for a short period of time, giving you the opportunity to take a break or go on vacation.
  • Emergency respite care: We are available to provide emergency respite care services in the event of an unexpected situation.
